Sean first had exposure to Bowen Therapy while playing rugby on the Gold Coast of Australia in 2004. After returning to South Africa, he suffered a career threatening back injury and was told surgery was the only option and his rugby career was over. Bowen therapy prevented surgery and he resumed his professional career. He was so taken with the effectiveness of Bowen Therapy that he studied and qualified in Bowtech.

He has been a Bowen therapist since 2007 and a Bowen Instructor since 2012. He runs a bodywork clinic, Structural Medicine, in Johannesburg, South Africa and considers himself extremely lucky to have had exposure to some of the top Bowen practitioners and body workers in the world.

He has completed and attended numerous independent post-graduate Bowen courses including TMJ, PASC modules and Trevor Rose’ Hormone work, taught by Australian instructor Ron Phelan. These courses have allowed Sean a deeper insight into the body creating better clinical outcomes for the people he treats.

As well as being a qualified Life Orientation educator and Bowen Therapy Instructor, he is a qualified coach, clothing brand entrepreneur and ultramarathon runner.
